Siviglia
Weaving Time and Memories
My latest work is a series of baskets crocheted with colorful fabric strips, where weaving becomes a way of keeping a travel journal. Each stitch captures a moment, a glimpse of a city, a landscape, the hues of a sunrise or sunset, a patch of green, or a stretch of blue. Every piece corresponds to a place, seen and imagined in a fleeting instant, tied to a specific hour of the day or night.
For the “Siviglia” collection, I created one basket per day for 96 consecutive days, marking the passage of time until I could embrace my love again. Each piece is not just an object but a vessel of emotions, memories, and longing—an intimate map of time woven into color and form.
